» From the Northeast
From Route 495 (Capitol Beltway) take the Baltimore Washington Parkway south and bear left at the Richmond VA Exit (do not take the right turn towards Washington DC at this exit). Continue towards Route 295 South, and turn right at the East Capitol Street Exit. Follow East Capitol Street about 1 mile, across the Anacostia River, RFK Stadium will be on your left, bear left and drive ¼ of the way around the stadium and turn right on East Capitol Street at the front of RFK Stadium. Follow East Capitol Street about 5 blocks to 14th Street and make a left turn follow 14th street straight until you get to G street (G Street is two streets after the SAFEWAY grocery store) Turn right at G street (DC Metro station on the corner of G & 14th) and drive halfway up the block until you get to 1352 G street SE on your right. » From the Northwest
Follow 270 South to Route 495 West (Capitol Beltway) across the American Legion Bridge into Virginia. Take the George Washington Parkway south. Go across the Potomac River on the Theodore Roosevelt Bridge. This becomes Constitution Avenue. Stay on Constitution Avenue past the Smithsonian Museums. At 4th Street NW, Constitution Avenue jogs to left at a traffic light. Follow it up the hill until you pass the US Capitol on your right. Take a right on First Street NE and follow it two lights to East Capitol Street. Take a left on East Capitol Street and follow it until it approaches the neighborhood park, Lincoln Park. Go to the right, driving ¼ around the park, and then take a right on Kentucky Avenue SE. Follow Kentucky straight through the neighborhood until you get to the intersection of Kentucky and 14th street (Safeway grocery store is at eh corner). Bear onto 14th street and head to the second stop sign which is G Street, SE. Turn right at G Street, SE (DC Metro station on the corner of G & 14th) and drive halfway up the block until you get to 1352 G Street SE on your right. Welcome to Barney Circle
» From the South
Follow Route 95 North as it turns into Route 395 North. Go across the Potomac River and follow the sign for Route 1 North, which is 14th Street. Continue to Independence Avenue (second traffic light) and turn right. Follow Independence Avenue about 1 mile up the hill past the US Capitol on your left. This intersection is First Street, SE, Keep straight and the street name changes to Pennsylvania Avenue SE (lots of retail and residences on each side). Follow Pennsylvania straight up to the intersection of 14th street (Potomac is the other sign you will see). Make a left U turn at 14th to head back West on Pennsylvania Avenue for one block to make a SHARP right turn right onto G Street SE. Head up ½ the block to 1352 G Street SE on your left hand side. » From the West
Follow Route 66 east across the Potomac River on the Roosevelt Bridge. This becomes Constitution Avenue. Stay on Constitution Avenue past the Smithsonian Museums. Air Travel and DC Metro (Subway System)
Fly in to Reagan National Airport and you can take the BLUE LINE Directly to the POTOMAC Avenue station come up to the street look directly behind you to G street and walk up the block to you left about ½ of the street to 1352 G street SE, Washington, DC 20003.
The subway stop at the very corner of the street where Barney Circle sits is the Potomac Ave stop on the Blue and Orange Line for the Metro system.
